There are a plethora of tournaments in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but a new tournament that will be taking place this coming July and there is a huge cash prize going to the winner. The winner of the eight man IBJJF 8 Man Invitational $50 , 000 Cash Prize will easily be considered to be one of the greatest competitors in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world today. Although the whole field for the tournament is not yet set, such competitors as Marcus Buchecha, Bernardo Fera, Xande Ribeiro, Joao Rocha and Romulo Barral are already set for this historic event.
This tournament will be taking place during the 2016 UFC Fan Expo in California, which is already hosting UFC Fight Night: Dos Anjos vs. Alvarez, UFC Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale and UFC 200 respectively. There is no clear favorite to win the tournament and take home that large cash prize, but with a tournament this stacked, it would be nearly impossible to make the correct prediction anyway. Tournaments are nothing new in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but a tournament like this has just raised the stakes to a whole new level and the winner of this tournament can lay claim to being the greatest.
