In what was easily the biggest win of her career, Julianna “The Venezuelan” Pena dominated former bantamweight championship contender, Cat Zingano, for the final fight of the UFC 200 prelims.
Though Cat was able to score some takedowns at the beginning of the fight, and landed a beautiful suplex in Round 2, the overwhelming majority of the fight saw Pena utilizing her grappling to manhandle . . . er . . . woman-handle Zingano.
Cat was unable to escape Pena’s guard – both in the full and butterfly variety – throughout the majority of the fight. Julianna also bullied Cat from side control.
Did Pena earn herself a shot at the bantamweight title? It would be hard to argue she didn’t.
