UFC Strawweight Michelle Waterson is famously known as “The Karate Hottie.” This should come as no surprise considering she’s a black belt in American Freestyle Karate, and she’s … well… hot!

But perhaps Waterson can also add the title of “BJJ Hottie” to her resume. After all, a little over four months back, the former Invicta Atomweight Champion survived the notorious “blue belt blues” and achieved the rank of BJJ purple belt.

So blessed and honored to say I have received my purple belt from @baratagb #graciebarranm I have learned so much both in and out of the gym! He has taught me so much about life and has been there to remind me why I choose the path of a warrior! Thank you so much for everything you do! So excited to for this new chapter in my journey!!! Waterson will be in action this weekend when she takes on Tecia Torres at UFC 218.  Their fight will be the first on the event’s main card.
