It could be argued that Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are both showmen. At the UFC 196 weigh-in, Diaz took a quick step toward McGregor, making the UFC Featherweight Champion flinch. Flinching is often seen as a sign of weakness or fear, so that’s fodder against McGregor. Then again, Diaz and his brother are known for trying to brawl outside the octagon. It’s reasonable for McGregor to have believed Diaz wanted to fight right then and there.
Plus, McGregor’s quick reflexes show that he’s prepared for a fight, whether it comes in the octagon or outside of it. UFC 196’s main event should be something of a spectacle to watch, or McGregor will clinch a quick victory.
