Hurricane Michael made landfall on the Florida panhandle on October 10, 2018. It’s the first ever Category 4 hurricane to hit that region, leaving at least 60 deaths attributed to the storm and causing at least $14.6 billion in damages. Two months later the community is still picking up the pieces.

Part of those losses includes Rillion Gracie – Lynn Haven and Marra Senki Jiu-Jitsu in Panama City, Florida. In an effort to help those in the jiu-jitsu community affected, jiu-jitsu black belt Tra Alidor has organized a black belt Mega Seminar comprised of more than a dozen black belts from around the area. The event is happening December 8 at Milton First Assembly of God. Alidor lives on the coast and owns a gym there, and he knew that anyone could have lost their gym. He had a couple black belts reach out trying to find out how they could help, and they decided to put together a seminar with as many black belts as possible who wanted to donate their time to raise money for those gyms affected. Some of the black belts include Sean Applegate, John Hanson, and Danny Ruiz, and most impressive of all, jiu-jitsu master Pedro Sauer will also be in attendance. Additionally, they will be auctioning off various items to help to raise funds.

If you’re not able to attend the seminar but want to help those gyms affected by the storms, there are GoFundMe accounts set up for RGA-Lynn Haven and Marra Senki Jiu-Jitsu.
