Colby Covington is well known for his hatred of Brazil. Covington has repeatedly referred to Brazilians as “animals” and has done everything in his power to irritate other Brazilian MMA fighters.
But Brazilian MMA fighter and former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos showed the world that he can not only take the insults, but throw them back at Covington…and yes, that pun was intended.
Dos Anjos showed up to a recent staredown with Colby while wearing a shirt with a boomerang on it. The boomerang shirt was no doubt alluding to the time Fabricio Werdum — another Brazilian UFC fighter — whipped a boomerang at Covington during an angry confrontation in Sydney.
Rafael dos Anjos and Colby Covington will be facing off at UFC 225 for the Interim UFC Welterweight Championship.
