Why so blue, Russell?
Professional funny man and new world philosopher Russell Brand took to YouTube yesterday to discuss his recent promotion to blue belt and the various social and racial divides that BJJ is capable of bridging. A big theme Brand touches on is BJJ’s shocking ability to unite all people of any background under the same roof in the same of fellowship and self improvement, referencing examples from his own training experience.
One of the more recent but nonetheless vocal celebrity ambassadors for BJJ, Brand has been training under Kev Capel at RGA Bucks for over a year. In that time he has had numerous longform conversations on the topic with prominent BJJ figures like Joe Rogan on the JRE and even Rener and Ryron Gracie on his own podcast.
