Setting up the Single-Leg with the Underhook

Takedowns should be a major part of any BJJ player’s game. Even if you only learn them so you can defend against them, it’s time well spent. So going on that mind-set, today the guys at Big Guy BJJ have given us another takedown.

Getting the underhook is genially easy to achieve off of a basic snap-down, or simply manipulating an opponent’s head. By pulling an opponent’s head down, their arm usually opens up for you to pummel under. Once you do, it’s all about the easy set-up. Another quick snap-down opens them up for the slide-by single.

Try it out, and let us know what you think. Also, take some time to enjoy the rashguard.
