Stephan Kesting: On Some Days You’ll Be Great, And On Others You’ll Suck

If there is one thing that might depress you as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu student, it is having one of those days where you feel like you’re getting worse at jiu-jitsu. Maybe you’re a blue belt and you get tapped by the white belt you usually dominate. Maybe the other blue belt whom you’re usually neck-and-neck with taps you out six times in five minutes.

I have two pieces of good news for you: 1) you’re probably just having a bad day; and 2) everyone has bad days. Even if you’re multiple-time World and IBJJF Champion, you are bound to have days where you just feel like you’re not performing up to par.

Stephan Kesting — who is always chock full of good advice — elaborates on this subject. Check out the video above to hear what he has to say.
