Try This Game Of “T.A.P.” To Have A Blast While Improving Your Jiu-Jitsu

They say jiu-jitsu is like human chess, but if you’re not much of a chess player, try T.A.P. on for size.

The team at Frontline Academy, Drammen filmed a demonstration of this game with visiting black belt Tommy Lilleskog Langaker and blue belt Stefan Appeblad, and honestly, it looks like a ton of fun.

The game involves four dice that specify rules such as starting position, time limit, and the body part being attacked. Whoever wins the round earns a letter (much like H.O.R.S.E.), and whoever can spell out “T.A.P.” first is the victor.

If you don’t have specialized dice for the game, just make your own with toy blocks and a marker. The game can be personalized according to level, too, so it’s great for all students to work on their offense and positional training.
