WWE wrestler and former Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann has been charged with kidnapping and falsely imprisoning his wife, pro-wrestler Vannah Riggs.
Swann was arrested in Florida.
Officials say the incident started when Swann was critiquing his wife’s performance during a match. An argument broke out and Riggs jumped out of her husband’s car. A witness said Swann then put his wife in a headlock and dragged her back into the car. Riggs, however, escaped and told police that she was afraid of her husband because of his temper.
Swann is set to appear in court today. He could face up to five years in prison just for the kidnapping charge.
Swann has also been suspended from the WWE.
