Xande Ribeiro Learning A New Martial Art

Xande Ribeiro is an eight-time Worlds Champion and ADCC Champion. Currently, he is in Manila giving seminars with Deftac-Ribeiro. He took time off to learn Kali with Alvin Aguilar.

Had my first class in Filipino Martial Arts using the stick, blades and knife. Unique experience learning from the source and evolve a little bit my journey in the Martial Arts. Alvin is the first Filippino to hold a BJJ black belt. He also founded the local mixed martial arts promotion URCC.

In the Philippines, Kali is also known as Arnis and Eskrima. Kali is a traditional MMA sport that emphasizes using weapons such as sticks, knives, and blades.
