When you first start out in jiu-jitsu, the movements used on the mats can seem completely foreign to you if you’ve never done wrestling or other martial arts before. Getting your body used to moving so differently can be a challenge all its own, and if you get used to it faster, a lot of the techniques will come a lot easier to you.
