Bo Nickal Puts Opponent To Sleep In MMA Debut

Penn State Wrestling Star Bo Nickal’s MMA debut certainly met expectations.

In the very 1st round of his first amateur MMA fight, Nickal earned himself a submission win by Arm Triangle. His opponent, David Conley, entered the ring with a 1-0 record, his 1 win coming by Guillotine.

The American Top Team fighter’s grappling dominance was quickly apparent as he freely took his opponent to the ground, mounted him, and landed some ground and pound before transitioning to the strangle. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Nickal’s ATT teammate Jorge Masvidal sang praise, “I can’t do nothing to that dude in wrestling, man… That’s the guy to look out for. Bo’s a stud.”

Nickal posted a highlight of his finish on Instagram, “Doing what I’m trained to do. Art of the strangle, brutal but beautiful”.

He has yet to announce his next fight, but after a few amateur fights, he should have no problem making a splash in a major professional promotion. He says to be on the lookout, “I’m excited to continue this journey with each and every one of you. I will continue to work hard and show out for y’all. Stay tuned for more fight news soon”.
