Colby Covington Says Mackenzie Dern Was ‘Pissed’ And ‘Pretty Sure’ She Blocked Him Over ‘Miss Piggy’ Tweet

According to Colby Covington, UFC Strawweight Mackenzie Dern was not too pleased about his “Miss Piggy” tweet.

For those who aren’t familiar with the imfamous tweet, you can read more about it here.

Covington was on the Jim and Sam Show yesterday, and he told the hosts Dern didn’t take kindly to it at all.

“She was pretty pissed about it it. I’m pretty sure she blocked me on all social media outlets,” Covington said.

As can be imagined, Colby was not exactly apologetic about it. When asked if the UFC had any problems with his comments, he responded:

“Nah, they [the UFC] don’t care, man. This is the fight business; this isn’t the feelings business. We’re going in a steel cage, getting locked in there, trying to take each other’s brain cells, so a couple words, that’s not going to hurt a UFC fighter.”

This is the fight business; this isn’t the feelings business. We’re going in a steel cage, getting locked in there, trying to take each other’s brain cells, so a couple words, that’s not going to hurt a UFC fighter.

He may not have hurt anyone outside the cage, but Colby Covington has certain irritated his fair share of fighters. He has verbally sparred over social media with the likes of former UFC fighter Kenny Florian, and even got a boomerang whipped at him by former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum.

Colby may have a mouth, but unfortunately for his opponents, he’s got some skills, too. Covington is riding a five-fight win streak in the UFC and out of thirteen fights, he has only lost once.

He will be taking on former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael dos Anjos for the interim UFC Welterweight Championship this weekend at UFC 225. Be sure to check on the Jiu-Jitsu Times Facebook page for the results of Colby Covington’s match, and other matches, at UFC 225.
