Hours ago, a ONE Championship fight between Kota Shimoishi and Ariel “Tarzan” Sexton ended in Sexton using his BJJ expertise to land a unique submission on his opponent.
Sexton is from Costa Rica, where jiu-jitsu is surprisingly popular for being a Central American country the size of West Virginia. He used his training to get control of Shimoishi’s back, trap him in a triangle from behind, and tap him out with an Americana-esque shoulder lock.
