Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Will Produce & Star In Movie About UFC Champ Mark Kerr


Actor and pro wrestling star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is taking on his next cinematic project, and a lot of MMA fans will be looking forward to it.

Johnson announced at the pre-UFC 244 press conference that he will be producing and starring in a film about UFC champion Mark Kerr. The actor’s presence at UFC 244 was a huge draw for fans, and he presented the “BMF” belt to Jorge Masvidal following the fighter’s controversial victory over Nate Diaz.

Johnson’s production company, Seven Bucks Production, will be producing the film, and Johnson announced that he will take on the role of Kerr. The film will follow Kerr’s life, fighting career, and struggles with addiction and mental health. “The Smashing Machine” is widely regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time, winning the heavyweight tournaments at UFC 14 and 15. He later moved on to fight for PRIDE.
