A crazy submission from Combat Jiu-Jitsu Worlds had jiu-jitsu spectators wincing in empathy over the weekend.
10th Planet’s Pearl Gonzalez, a UFC veteran who currently fights for Invicta, competed against Evolve’s Lilian Borja in a superfight at CJJ Worlds. A triangle from Gonzalez transitioned into an armbar, and when Borja didn’t tap, Gonzalez didn’t let go, and — yeah, you can imagine what happened next.
