High School Wrestler Says He Contracted Herpes From Wrestling Mat

Known primarily for being a sexually transmitted disease, in its Herpes Simplex II form, Herpes is a highly contagious viral infection that once you have caught it, you are stuck with it. Recently, wrestler Blake Flovin of a San Jose California high school recently discovered he has a form of the virus known as herpes gladiatorum after his face broke out in legions all over.

According to Blake, it is apparent that Blake contracted the virus after coming in contact with an infected mat during one of his fights. Due to his experience, Flovin is currently trying to prevent the same thing from happening to other student wrestlers by having the state cancel an upcoming tournament. While his efforts to secure the cancellation were unsuccessful, there will be doctors on hand to both inspect the mats and monitor the participating wrestlers.
