Dillon Danis may not have turned out to be the great savior of Conor McGregor’s grappling game, but The Notorious champ’s braggadocios pre-fight media style has definitely worn off on his jiu-jitsu coach. The black belt played right from the McGregor Press Junket Handbook on Bellator’s media day, waxing poetic about himself to MMA Junkie.

“I’m a different level than everybody,” Danis said in an interview leading up to his fight this weekend on June 14. “I feel like there’s no one that can even compare to me and my mind in the game. That will show. I’m going to take that experience with me and keep going up until one day I’m going to fight for that belt, and I’m going to be like, ‘I’ve (expletive) seen everything.’”

Danis is preparing to step into the MMA ring for just the second time to face Max Humphrey, who is currently 3-2 with Bellator and has over a dozen professional and amateur mixed martial arts bouts under his belt. Danis is currently 1-0, though he doesn’t put that much stock in experience.

“I think everybody has more experience than me. I think experience is maybe the only something that [Humphrey] has. But experience is not going to be enough,” said Danis.

Then he stole some belts from Rory MacDonald and Darrion Caldwell and posed with them:

Bellator 222 goes down at Madison Square Garden this Friday. Danis will fight at 175.
