“Iranian Hulk” Scheduled To Fight In Bare Knuckle Championship In 2020

No, that photo isn’t the result of some wannabe strongman getting his hands on a digital image editing program. That’s the Iranian Hulk, a.k.a. Sajad Gharibi: an Iranian bodybuilder who has built a large social media following largely due to his unique physique. And now, it looks like fight fans will have the opportunity to see if all that muscle can get Gharibi a win in a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fight.

Gharibi has previously expressed the fact that he’d like to try his hand (and ridiculously huge arms) in combat sports. Over the weekend, BKFC announced in a preliminary broadcast that the Hulk would be making his debut for the promotion sometime in 2020, though an official date hasn’t yet been announced. An opponent for Gharibi is also yet to be announced, but the event will be named “USA vs. Iran: World War III,” so we can assume that a fighter from the United States is planned for the matchup. BKFC president David Feldman has stated that the promotion will be holding tryouts to find the Iranian Hulk an opponent.
