In a soul-baring interview with hostess Ellen DeGeneres, Rousey admitted exactly how hard she was impacted by her stunning loss to Holly Holm last year. On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” which aired February 16, Ronda Rousey tells Ellen DeGeneres she thought about suicide after loss to Holly Holm, as she battled with a range of emotions after losing her MMA belt to the Preacher’s Daughter.

UFC 193 saw Rousey’s first ever loss, as Holm toppled the MMA star in a stunning TKO victory to gain the UFC women’s belt. Rousey admitted to DeGeneres that she had contemplated suicide in the immediate aftermath of her defeat, especially during her time in the hospital. However, Rousey claims that she quickly overcame it, as she taught herself to focus on the other things in her life that are important, like her relationship with her boyfriend Travis Browne.

‘I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.’ were the thoughts that helped pulled her through the ordeal, claims Rousey.
