Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been named as the cover model for the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She will share the honor with fellow models Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson. She is the first female professional athlete to be named as a full cover model for the iconic swimsuit issue joining female fashion icons Elle Macpherson, Christie Brinkley, and Kate Upton.
Rousey, who lost the title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 this past November, has been busy with her entertainment endeavors that includes media obligations for Sports Illustrated, hosting Saturday Night Live and filming feature length films, Road House and Mile 22. She has tentatively announced a return to the Octagon in November 2016.
