A Sheriff’s deputy and her husband have been charged with murder in the choking death of 24-year-old John Hernandez.
Days ago, the husband of the deputy choked Hernandez to death during an altercation. The altercation started after the husband saw Hernandez urinating outside the restaurant.
A passerby caught the incident on camera. In it, the husband is choking Hernandez while the sheriff’s deputy is holding the man down by his arms.
Once Hernandez stopped moving, the husband got off of him and the deputy tried to perform CPR. However, Hernandez had to be rushed to the hospital, where he slipped into a coma and died.
The deputy and her husband turned themselves in, but were released $100,000 bail.
