Watch Jiu-Jitsu standout Jacare Souza beat current UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum

Jiu-Jitsu phenom and current UFC middleweight Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza is slated to face fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort at UFC 198 on May 14 2016. Before he rose to the elite levels of mixed martial arts, Jacare Souza was seen running shop on the top BJJ circuits. Included in his list of victories is a 2004 points win over the current UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum in an open weight match at the Jiu-Jitsu World Cup.

Ronaldo Souza has accrued an astounding grappling record of 47-6 and an MMA record just as stout at 22-4-1. In his last bout at UFC 194, the dangerous submission artist dropped a controversial split decision to Yoel Romero. With a standout performance against Vitor Belfort, Jacare hopes to be next in line for a shot at the UFC middleweight title.
