Actor and host Mario Lopez is steadily making his way up to purple belt as he progresses on his jiu-jitsu journey.
Lopez received the second stripe on his blue belt from his professors Donald Flowers and Robert Hill.
Lopez has long been vocal about his love for grappling, praising BJJ in an appearance on The Ellen Show and even showing up to ADCC last year. While some people question whether or not celebrity BJJ practitioners really do put in the work to get their promotions, Lopez has been a blue belt since 2018 and seems to be moving on a reasonable timeline of progression.
