X- Guard

X- Guard– X Guards involves sliding under your opponent (similar to a deep half), but using both of your legs in an “X” pattern on your opponents far leg. This guard is very difficult to pass and can be used effectively both gi and no-gi. Most commonly used to sweep, but there are also some great submissions such as the knee bar.
