How To Escape When An Attacker Pins Your Wrists Against The Wall

Domestic violence is a serious fear and reality for many people across the world, and a tactic that many abusers use when physically restraining their partner is to pin their wrists against the wall. For smaller victims, this hold can seem impossible to escape from, but Eve, Rener, and Ryron Gracie have worked out a solution.

After a previous escape video, many people were asking the Gracie University team how to escape from this particular position, so they worked together to figure out the most efficient way to break free. This technique works even if you’re not as big and strong as the person holding you. Remember, just like any martial arts technique, self-defense moves are only useful if you drill them until they happen instinctively, so make sure you practice this over and over again until it becomes second nature.
