As we know, Fight 2 Win doesn’t do “small” events, and their team-oriented Subversiv series is no different. Tomorrow, Subversiv 3 is set to be quite a spectacle, with sixteen three-person teams competing in the gi for impressive prizes for first, second, and third place.
Some of the bigger names competing in the event include Nathalie Ribeiro, Levi Jones-Leary, Gabriel Almeida, Kendall Reusing, Jena Bishop, and Fellipe Andrew. Fight 2 Win’s own Seth Daniels and Brittney Elkin will also be jumping into the fray, along with a number of impressive local grapplers looking to make their mark and bring home some cash in the process.
The event is comprised of three divisions: male -180lbs, male +180lbs, and female open weight. The different categories present the opportunity for each team to feature a variety of skilled competitors, and the women’s division will be particularly exciting to watch as competitors in the upper weight classes get some time to shine.
All matches will be single-elimination and take place in the gi. Fight 2 Win rules will be in effect, which means that the matches will be decided by either submission or judge’s decision if no submission is achieved before time runs out. The team in first place will receive $4,500, second place will receive $3,000, and third place will receive $1,500.
