GRAPHIC: This Video Shows The Dangers Of Realistic Hand-To-Hand Combat Training

When you train martial arts as a hobby, you can afford to (and really should) go light sometimes instead of constantly training like you’re preparing for battle. However, if your training is designed to actually prepare you for battle, your “practice” needs to simulate actual battle.

As important as it is to replicate real-life scenarios, the consequences can also be very, very real. In this training video by Full Spectrum Warrior, a SWAT team leader breaks his leg and dislocates his ankle during a training session, showing just how hard violent training can be on the body.

WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW AT YOUR DISCRETION. IT IS GRAPHIC.

Rough video of the SWAT Team Leader breaking his tib-fib and dislocating his ankle during training yesterday. Training for a violent encounter sometimes means violent training. It is important to push ourselves during training so that we do not give ourselves a false sense of security. This does not mean that we are reckless or careless in training. However in order to facilitate training that is truly beneficial there has to be a certain level of intensity and realism during combatives training.#brutal #training #accident #ouch #tibfib #fracture #brokenbone #surgery #leader #SWAT #combatives #dirtymma
