Harden Up Your Turtle Shell With These Tips For Defending Against Chokes & Back Takes


The turtle is hailed as an effective fundamental defensive position in BJJ. When done right, it can frustrate the heck out of your opponent as they try to find some way to choke you or open up a more advantageous position. If your turtle still feels a bit too passive, though, there are a few techniques you can use to make this position even more effective.
