Roberto Jimenez Vs. Lucas Barbosa Will Go Down In Denver Tomorrow Night

The main event of Fight 2 Win 137 has been causing chatter in the jiu-jitsu community since it was announced last month, and now, we only have to wait one more day to see it all go down.

Roberto Jimenez will be facing one of the biggest tests of his career so far as he battles Atos’ Lucas Barbosa in a gi main event match. Jimenez has been a star in the competitive BJJ scene since he was a purple belt, and his black belt career, while still in its infancy, has been punctuated with big wins, including a victory against Keenan Cornelius at Who’s Number One. Barbosa is an established elite-level black belt, with multiple wins at Pans and No-Gi Worlds on his resume. The BJJ world will be watching eagerly to see if Jimenez will pull another upset or if Barbosa will remind fans why he’s one of the best grapplers in the world right now.

Also on the card will be a match between Michael Liera Jr. and Marcio Andre. Liera Jr. will be hoping to continue his undefeated five-match winning streak for the promotion, and Andre will be doing his best to add his opponent to list of defeated grapplers that includes Benson Henderson. This match will serve as the tiebreaker trilogy for the athletes, who are currently 1-1 in their matches against each other.

2019 Pans runner-up Jake Watson will also be making another F2W return, this time against 2019 UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro winner Rudson Mateus.

As always, a multitude of local competitors will also be lighting up the card as well. Check out the event preview below, and make sure you’re watching it all happen when F2W 137 comes back to Denver on Friday, March 6 on FloGrappling!
