Felipe Pena, Lucas Barbosa, Nicholas Meregali To Compete At BJJ Stars 5

The BJJ Stars V lineup is complete, with an eight-man Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament and six star-studded superfights planned for the February event.

The promotion has released the names of the competitors who will be vying for the heavyweight GP title, with many BJJ Stars veterans returning to claim the championship. Felipe Pena, Mahamed Aly, Nicholas Meregali, Lucas Barbosa, Erich Munis, Gutemberg Pereira, Luis Panza, and Erberth Santos will be putting it all on the line to see who will come home with the title.

The superfights will also see many famous athletes making their return to test their skills. 3CG Kumite champion Gustavo Batista will be facing off against decorated world champion Leandro Lo. We’ll also see a rematch between Thamara Ferreira and Beatriz Mesquita — the sequel to their showdown at BJJ Stars 4, which saw Mesquita come away with the win via points. Roberto Jimenez will also be coming off a win against Dante Leon at WNO 5 to face Isaque Bahiense, who made it to the finals of the BJJ Stars 4 Middleweight GP before being defeated by Leandro Lo. Miltinho Vieira vs. Gabriel Rollo, Vitor Terra vs. Percio Broca, and Leon Amancio vs. Mario Reis will also be featured superfights on this stacked card.

BJJ Stars 5 will take place on Saturday, February 6 in Brazil and can be streamed live on the BJJ Stars website.
